Nature Circles in South Africa!

The Warriors of the Rainbow!
Dr. Alice Ashwell was inspired to invite the children in her neighbourhood in Cape Town to join her for some nature circle adventures! While walking in Zandvlei Nature Reserve, each of the children from Vrygrond decided on one thing they would do to help the circle of life. To celebrate their commitment, each made a rainbow warrior headdress. Click on more photos below to see all the pictures from these Nature Circles.

On May 12th, we had another wonderful group of volunteers eager to help us get more Nature Circle Cards put together. Thanks to Adobe, we have completed over 2,000 more sets.

We had the pleasure of working with the mail services department at PG&E. Everyone was so friendly and worked really hard, making over 800 sets of cards! Thank you all for your hard work.

We just returned from another great volunteer event at Kaiser thanks to Alycia Thompson who was at our last Kaiser volunteer event and was so enthused that she helped us set up another day. It was great to meet some more wonderful people from Kaiser and complete over 1300 more card sets!

Thanks to Hands On Bay Area we are meeting some of the nicest people and getting the help we need with Nature Circles!

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service at Kaiser, we were joined by 40+ enthusiastic volunteers that help us put together over 4000 Nature Circle card sets.

Hands On Bay Area (HOBA) has been amazing at helping us connect with companies that are wanting and willing to donate their time putting together Nature Circle Cards to help support our Cards for Kids program. Recently, HOBA staff as well as their board of directors volunteered as well.

We had a lot of fun and put together over 900 card sets! We really appreciate all the help and support we have received from HOBA!

Helping hands, smiling faces and lots of enthusiasm!
